Is there any actual evidence or documentation that Dopey is the youngest Dwarf? or is he just so retarded that they shave him cuz he’ll hang himself with his beard or something?

Erik brings up a valid point:

I think the beard thing is genetic. Why would they be afraid of a beard, then let him use a pick-axe? Dopey’s just the dwarf that helps everyone else feel good about themselves. After all, if all you did was mine all day, you’d want someone to point at and say “at least I’m not that guy. He forgets to let go of the bag when throwing it into the closet.”

Genetic beard brings up the question of how they got in their living situation. Happy and Doc look like they could be related, but theres no way to really know. and how did they find each other to create their little people sanctuary? what made them decide to live together in a secluded cottage? especially considering they all have a solid skill and work ethic. what happened to ye men of smaller stature? who hurt you?

Dennis Nixdorf Jr:
See Richard its like this. When you have 6 old men living together. Theres bound to be a cute, dumb, hairless boy for them to bang.

Possibility. Interest level increased by the fact that Dopey is the only one who shows sexual interest in Snow, as opposed to the Grim original where they all competed for which one gets to marry her (keep in mind that she’s 14). so was poor dopey kidnapped as a child as a sex slave for this gay commune resort in the forest? would explain why he’s mute. and then when Snow comes along he’s like “FINALLY some tits and pussy round this dump!” and goes nuts.

So do you think Ursula wears a spandex top that blends in with her lower half? or is she just topless and doesn’t have nipples? #LittleMermaid

The latter, right? No nips on the sea witch. Even though that’s totally weird. Responding to a friends additional objection that “Why she even has boobs is confusing. Its not like little baby octopi are going to be latching on for nourishment.”:

It’s not confusing cuz we’re traditionally not to believe merfolk evolved – they’re born of magic n stuff, so their body parts are intentional 50/50 split and not mixtures of the species. However, Disneys adaptation doesn’t make this clear. they go in the other direction by playing up a “we are different but we’re really the same” theme. That didnt start out being the case since In the original script, Ursula was Tritons sister and humans knew their names as folklore (one of the sailors in the opening scene talks about it in a deleted sequence of dialog and extra verse of Fathoms Below), which makes it more accepting since it solidifies their place as something separate from our world and not just humans who have fish parts.

“Life’s full of tough choice, in et”

The stage musical takes this a step further by reinstating the brother-sister-Ariels-Aunt tree, but mentioning that their dad was Poseidon and when he, er, died (blurg?), he gave Triton his trident and Ursula her magic shell. I’m not wild about the “magic shell” bullshit since no one who saw the Disney movie thought that was anything on par with the Trident – it was just her jewelry that she used to hold Ariels voice and also so we had a reminder that that Vanessa bitch is really the sea witch since shape-shifting and evil-twin incarnations always have to have something like that (a bow, a distinct color scene, a snail shell necklace, etc).

It all makes much more sense under this storyline since it’s common in Greek myths for gods to have offspring that have random attributes related to their specialty – which explains why Ursula and Triton are both aquatic but not the same. It also explains why a friggin mermaid is ruling the ocean and has such a badass undersea castle when you introduce the whole Poseidon lineage. Eric always looked Greek to me too. Possibly Italian, but I’m sticking with Greek.

Is Winnie the Pooh & Company real? Pooh, Tigger, that emo fag Eeyore – are they really alive? or is Christopher Robin just a more fucked up version of Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes?

Calvin is an energetic adventure seeker, so he pretends his stuffed animal is alive so he has someone to do stuff with – but Chris Robin doesn’t do shit besides say hello and have tea with Rabbit or whatever. While Calvin is creating snowman genocide and fighting killer space aliens that aren’t real, Christopher Robin is pretending there is a forest where a chronically depressed mule whines about his shitty life to a single mother kangaroo (lots of THOSE in the English woodlands), a gluttonous bear, spring loaded tiger and an anxiety riddled pig with Gary Coleman disease. who is the interesting and playful child and who is the basket case mental patient?

whats worse is that 80% of the adventures don’t even involve him, so if none of this universe is real, there is some serious shit going on with that kid.

Some people will find a way to be offended, no matter what, and dont you dare call something non-offensive because we need to be sensitive to everyone’s fragile little feelings, except yours cuz you’re the enemy. My friend Tisha “shared” this video on Facebook (sharing is when you repost something someone else posted. so one of her friends posted it first and she was just rebroadcasting) with the following text:

Anyone? Why is the rabbit white at first and upon leaving, is black??? What the heck is this supposed to mean? Weird. And I guess it was banned? Hmm.

I never saw the rabbit turn black or change color at all so i didnt get wtf the text is referring to. This guy responded with this insight:

Ben Yacob
I think it’s the way they’re talking that’s the issue. Last time I saw Dumbo I was blown away by how the crows spoke. Prepetuating a steriotype [sic].

I replied:

Richard Bushnell
oooooh, THAT kind of “turning black”. haha. except i dont see a change there either. and the movie (Song of the South) is banned in the US because Disney is run by politically correct pussies and fear backlash from politically correct race baiters who claim the Uncle Ramos character is offensive because he’s not a whiny “im a victim” type despite being a recently freed slave. there is also a scene where the fox & bear make a “tar baby” (a blog of tar dressed like a person) to trap the rabbit and allegedly “tar baby” is a racial slur that no one has heard of anywhere ever. super lamesauce with a side of ghayy.

He didn’t like that response so he went after me in the most emotional and douchie of ways:

Ben Yacob
Wow! Is it really a bad thing to be sensitive too other peoples discomfort?
As a gay black man I find you lacking in humanity or maybe it’s empathy.
Just for the record Walt didn’t hire blacks to work at his parks an mistreated his Jewish workers so Disney is working off that stigma.

So I replied:

Richard Bushnell
Wow! Inserting your own prejudices into someone elses words to mischaractarize what they said. awesome. Not so awesome that your communist mentality concludes that the discomfort of a few requires deprivation of privilege to everyone else – which, yes, is “really a bad thing” and no, is not just being “sensitive too [sic] other peoples discomfort”.

As a human being I find you lacking in objective reasoning and coherent logical thought. That reply also reeks of douche in every line from the faux outrage that someone finds non-racism non-offensive (gasp!) to attempting some kind of moral high ground by flashing your “black & gay” credentials to calling someone sub-human for the crime of disagreeing with your Orwellian brainwash.

Just for the record, in addition to not being right on philosophy, you’re also wrong on the facts. Walt hired blacks at his park (not “parks”. theres only one Disneyland) and there are no credible claims of mistreatment of Jews or history of anti-semetic private comments (there are however, numerous on-the-record defenses of Disney by both black and jewish employees). Those smears stem from a campaign by civil rights leaders in the 60s that attempted to force Disney to institute affirmative action at the parks. Unfortunately for you, refusing to give jobs to less qualified workers, even though they’re black, is not racism, its treating people equally (ie: exactly what the civil rights struggle was all about).

PS: Being lectured false history and called inhumane brings me discomfort, therefore by the “censorship = sensitivity” doctrine you espouse, you’re not allowed to be saying such things. Why are you showing such a lack of empathy for my views that non-offensive media should be considered exactly that? …ya, being a hypocrite makes it hard to stay consistent, i know.

For some reason he replied again…

Ben Yacob
Disney now as a multi-national corporation wants people to be comfortable when going to their parks and purchasing their over priced products. I know what communists are they have a disregard for individuals that do not cower to their doctrine. I choose not to agree with your perspective but at least in the USA I won’t be called a counter revolutionary and shot. You can have the last word if you like this has become rhetorical.

uh… ok

Richard Bushnell
Glad I was able to convert you from cowering to communistic doctrine and make you shed your expressed disregard for individuals in just under 35 minutes. and all I did was repeat what you said to note how absurd it was. if only the rest of them were that easy to flip.
I can see how saying a bunch of stuff with passion that turns out to be 100% wrong can shift a dude into rhetorical mode. I would have taken the high road and admitted my faults while engaging in the dialogue i started with my rude accusations, but at least in the USA i wont be buried in the sand and stoned to death for blasphemy (a red herring that has about as much relevance as to who is black and gay or not).

the whole thing is really just a 1-on-1 version of what i described: there is content that exists that race-baiters are using as leverage (since they lack REAL racism to go after) and Disney is cowering to to the baiters because its easier to self-censor than to deal with bullies who will smear you as sub-human if you agree with logic instead of their baseless emotional doctrines.

“Have you ever noticed how n a majority of Disney movies the mom is either dead or not in the picture?? whats up with that??” No, but ive heard people say that and am not sure why you guys think that.

When my 10th grade Spanish teacher Mr Holt made this claim I totally bought the premise, but over the years thinking about it, I’ve come to call total BS on it. who has a dead mom besides Bambi, Belle, Jasmine, Ariel and Nemo? max from a goofy movie? i think she’s a waitress in Greenbow Alabama still and just slipped into Goofys dorm one night and took control like in Forest Gump, but thats just a theory. still though – even if you count both parents deceased and include Cinderella, Snow White, Tarzan and Lilo, you’re left with a tiny number still giving an overwhelming majority of Disney families with living and loving parents.

When I had this discussion on Facebook, the possibility was raised that maybe the moms that aren’t mentioned are just out of the picture like Jasmines and Ariels and not actually dead. but no. theyre both dead. Muslims dont do divorce and Ariels mom was smashed by a fishermans boat, causing Tritons hate for humanity. When I said that, it was thought to be a joke. I wish it were… check it: Tri & his redhaired bride are chillin above surface making music and having fun with other merfolk when pirates come along to kill them. they all dive except ariels mom goes back for that clam thing which is a music box and gets killt, causing a forever ban on surfacing. its lame as hell, executed poorly and they didnt even try to make “mom” any different than Ariel other than increasing her seashell cup size a few.

The poor character design in Ariels mom is pretty obnoxious. also makes you wonder why the other daughters look totally different. the awkward unsaid answer: different moms… and i guess ariels was the only one he cared about. Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Atina, Adella, and Allana? aint nuthin but trick ass ho’s.

the death scene is pretty messed up too. imagine this in slow motion with menacing music and you have all you need to know…
