It was also amusing that one of my former classmates deleted me from their facebook this same day so I commented on the current events:

In the past 24 hours panic and dissent has flamed in this group, the biggest consensus has been on “boobs”, Anna Bobb deleted me on Facebook (idk why), several have expressed disinterest in attending and I tore the toenail on my big toe (left foot) too much so now its really tender. – I’m sensing bad luck here :/

“I do NOT appreciate you putting my name on the reunion page that I deleted you! That was a personal matter on my part.” … “My facebook page is now a family only page with the exception of my bestest of friends that I see and talk to on a daily basis. (that is only 5 people)“

Richard Bushnell: Restructure Request: 1 Reunion Event…

There should be a single night that is an actual reunion (by “actual” i mean my only reference to what a reunion is, which is what they do in the movies: rent out the school gym or SOMEplace for a night where you get name tag stickers and gather under some kind of structured event with a beginning, middle & end). 2 other gatherings consisting of a bar night and a “meet the family I made from scratch in the past decade” park day sounds lovely, but they should be compliments to the main event, not identical and just in the mix.

So lets stop the “restructuring” requests, bitching and moaning and accept this years reunion. The whole point is to get together and reminisce; and after hearing some of your all’s comments I’m not sure if I want to reminisce with the people you have turned into.

Lori W: Which is exactly why the reunion is not going to be a “reunion”…it’ll be SOME people, not majority of our class, seeing the same people they have seen and stayed in touch with since high school. And for the most part people have not been “Bitching” they have been expressing concerns that this set-up is just going to be a big waste of time and money. Thank you for reminding a lot of us why we didn’t hang out with our own class in high school, cause if you weren’t part of the “cool, popular, click” you didn’t matter, and apparently that hasn’t changed to a lot of people in 10 years!!!

My response to it:

Richard Bushnell: This post could have been shorter by just summarizing it saying “since the people in charge of this have other priorities, it is improper for any of you to add your input”. Something constructive in place of this post would have been better, like a reminder to stay positive and keep it fun or directions how the people with ideas or concerns could help the struggling officers with the organization. It doesn’t make sense to condemn “bitching and moaning” one sentence before bitching and moaning about the fact that people with differing hopes for the event are not worth reminiscing with.

This *is* a group after all. not an event invite. Facebook 101: an event invite gives you a “yes, no or maybe” option about your attendance and allows you to comment why ore ask pertinent questions. A group is a forum where discussion (not just yours) is the whole point. It is appropriate for anyone to either lament the organization or defend the priorities of the organizers. Idk why either would disgust a person to a point of not wanting to see people.

The post by Thomas was obviously a subject changer and this Dana chick (I don’t remember her from school) takes it as an opportunity to make up for her loss of anything relevant to say to my last response – except… it’s terrible. I’m gonna “get” someone for making a facetious comment about a parade? She thinks calling out speech stifling and replacing it with open and free thought is running a “tight ship”? Does she know what a “forum” is? Or are unnecessary quotation marks as much her typing style as passive/aggressive oddly placed happyface punctuation? Idk but it’s weird. Almost as weird as the announcement of “I’m just here to leave…oh ya – also to say something snarky about you, but mostly just to leave. definitely that. I’m WAY too cool for this”.

Results? A new Transformer named Fagatron. It was around that point that I realized the world isn’t Richardland and that my self image in my head usually does not have any relation to how I am actually presenting myself in real life.

I am constantly amazed at peoples closed minded racist views that they genuinely feel are justified and obvious. -My Contemporary social issues class watched a video of a group of college students (that were different ethnicities than I – dun dun duuuun), in a kind of learning support group where they could talk about the bad effects of racism. All of them were in obvious need of some good psychoanalytic counseling, as they felt hated and less of a person because they’ve experienced racism. They, like many in their position, chose to complain, feel sorry and dwell over their hardships rather than do anything to change them. This isn’t necessarily their fault since they felt so oppressed, but this is why they needed counseling.

-They were whining. There’s no getting around that one. You can choose to phrase it a lot nicer, and be a little more sensitive than me to these people with an obvious problem – but hey, as an observation, grammatically – these people were whining about their troubles.

For stating what was undeniably before both our eyes – a girl in the class labeled me a racist. She then apparently feels the rest of the class to be racists too as she made no hesitation in calling me “the most racist dude in here”.

This dumb bitch is so easily suckered that it just took a few of the right buzz words along with some emotion to completely brainwash her into lockstep acceptance of the videos intended persuasion. Her scope of the world is so tiny that the mere hearing of an opposing view sent her into alarm mode.

Naturally, she was ugly and overweight. Way to fight those shrieking ignorant feminist hippie caricatures…by acting them out them perfectly.
