Eat Chia Seeds. you’ll thank me later. they taste like nothing (like sesame seeds without the taste of sesame) and pack a ton of benefits.
They’re the easiest healthy-thing in the world to take because they’re so tiny and tasteless. They’re so small that you dont have to chew them, even and will barely notice (if you notice at all) their crunch if you add them to salads or potatoes or other dishes. You can even take a spoonful of them with a glass of water and just swallow like a supplement if you want.
I have been putting spoonfuls in my vitamin drink mixes and teas and noticing that bottled teas are starting to do the same lately. the chia seeds soak up the drink so you have these tiny jelly balls in there that you have to try hard to distinguish from your actual beverage, but i like them anyway cuz i miss the old Orbitz drink that had spacey colored gel balls in it (the drink went out of business in the late 90s and the travel company arose on the domain name Orbitz.com).
Chia seeds help with weight loss and energy and have the omega-3 oils found in fish so it lets you get that goodness without having salmon for lunch every day or taking one of those big pills of the oil.
I take them for the antioxidants which help prevent “free radical” damage to your body, but the easier way to explain antioxidants is that theyre a natural preservative. chia seeds will stay fresh at room temperature for years (better shelf life than a scientifically engineered stay-fresh product like a Twinkie).
Chia seeds can be expensive depending on where you live or what kind of stores are selling them so dont buy the first little baggie you see.
I get mine delivered to my door by Amazon at an excellent price: 2 pounds of the stuff is only $16.
