45 minutes on the phone with Capital One trying to get approved for a damn Walmart card to get that sweet 5% cash back necessary for the final leg of my coupon-compounding scheme [that I don’t necessarily want to talk about right now cuz you’ll make fun of me] and they play back to back automated messages that first say “A representative will be with you soon” -[5 seconds back in on the on-hold music]- “Just so you know… the wait time is currently over 30 minutes”… ug.
Customer service waiting lines are a separate injustice that needs reform, but right now I’m just thinking mostly about how I shouldn’t be in this situation in the first place. They should just give me the stupid credit card.
I had a rant on the completely nonsensical credit system chambered, but I’m just bored with the whole thing now. Store cards are supposed to be super easy to get and customer service is bad and the system is bad and I should just get 5% back on everything *minimum* when you consider how much I contribute to this timeline with all those I interact with.
When I change everything – everything will be better.
I should throw this blog away but it’s 3 paragraphs deep so there’s no turning back. Just let my suffering motivate you to either make the world a better place or to personally give me stuff. The latter is likely to help the former, so definitely factor that in.
Cha-ching.
