Labyrinth was before my time, but I still know about it because I’m cool. Most of my friends are younger than me but are also cool so they too know about things before their time. This wasn’t the case when I told this girl “you remind me of the babe” in context of a David Bowie conversation and she struggled to find the reference before becoming offended thinking I meant the movie about the talking pig. sigh…Actually, I forgot that movie existed. so she really DID remind me of the Babe.

That’s hilarious! I’m starting to feel old when referencing movies/TV shows and my friends don’t get them :< but then I reassure myself it's just cause I'm cooler and younger folks are probably clinging to that hipster "I don't know anything popular" hypocrisy.
Also that's interesting as I never would have referred to Babe (the pig) as "the babe".
Shoulda pulled that memorable "that'll do pig" moment xD
