Casting talent in roles that are often not yet defined, or just casting talent in non-roles because I think they have potential has raised the interesting question of “how the hell do YOU know?”.
It’s a valid Q but it’s actually a very simple formula.
Personality Potential = Passion + Articulation.
The way to be interesting is to be interested in something.
The way to be a possible entertainer is simply to be able to express your interests.
That’s it. Others dont need to be interested in your interests. Your articulation will transcend the tastes of your audience. It’s all about presentation.
Most are jaded, easily bored, but want attention despite having nothing to say. They’re useless. People with an interest in something and an ability to express it are the gems I’m mining.
