I’m going to my birthplace in New York in late August for a wedding and am happy to be able to get back even though I won’t be able to milk as long of a trip out of it as much as I hoped. Last visit was 2006 and i’m sure lots has changed – the Freedom Tower glistening in the city skyline. Crime way down. Streets smelling of something other than urine and dirt.
