Before I begin – let’s set one thing straight once and for all : The Dell guy, does not suck. He is not stupid, he is not lame, he is not gay (unless he’s gay – then that’s alright). The Dell guy is awesome. All this “the Dell dude is annoying/stupid/not amusing/annoying/dumb/really really annoying” crap – I don wanna hear it ok? Cuz he’s awesome. He’s quirky, he’s innocent and he’s excited about his work alright? Give the guy a break. -He’s pretty cute too.
That aside – The Dell computer company sucks ass. They lured me in with their Dude-Dell guy a couple years ago and I shelled out $3,000 bucks (my entire savings from my grueling job as a toy demonstrator/salesman) for a new system that’s been a torturous hellfire ever since. I’ve had my Dell configuration only 2 years and already I’ve had to completely wipe my hard drive clean a current total of FIVE (5) TIMES! Wiping your system takes a full day at least, and usually requires me to back up my files on cumbersome CD’s.
I’ve wasted many hours with Dell tech support, which has admitted on 3 occasions that my problems have to be in Dells faulty configuring, although they sugar coat it so it sounds more acceptable.
BUT being the forgiving man I am, I took my faulty Dell as a fluke. A fluke I would expect to be compensated for when I’m an established big shot. Then, I would make my beef with Dell public and give them the chance to make up for it.
So for Christmas this year I decide my mom needs a new computer. Restarting the operating system takes more than 5 minutes and just clicking on files and programs can ensure at least a 5 second wait. SO, I give Dell another chance, and build her PC present online.
I forgive Dell for having their website set up in a manner where their commercial advertised deals are hard to find, while more expensive models adorn the opening pages, among other things and I order a PC for Christmas.
As we all know, Christmas is on the 25th of December. Dell said my shipment would arrive on the 24th. Perfect. Did my package come to me on the 24th? -Not so much.
At the time of this posting, it is December 31st and I STILL have yet to receive my computer from Dell. My purchase is currently 6 days late. Dell has ruined my Christmas with their shoddy service.
Dell sucks.
